Thankful Monday

This morning was rough, in fact the whole day was rough! I always have a hard time going back to work after a holiday! Then to have to come back to month end, on a Monday, after a holiday is a bummer! I really did try to make the most of it!

I am so thankful today:

*for making it to and from work without one ounce of road rage:)

*for Skype so that I could talk to my brother!

It was really hard not having him at the dinner table this Thanksgiving, but it was so nice to see his face even if it was on a computer screen. While living in Spain, Eric has started a blog! It is great to see the beautiful towns he visits and his day to day life. Stop by and tell him hello!

*for my visit with my 98 year old great grandma on Thanksgiving! She is such a strong woman! She still lives by herself in the house she has lived in since 17! Visitig her brings back so many amazing childhood memories. Oh...and she has so many things from her childhood there. I love listening to her stories.

*My cute poot for posting his Pumpkin Roll recipe on my blog. You can find it in the comment section of my Thanksgiving post. You will be missing out if you don't try it!! He even made it gluten free for me! We just substituted Pamelas Pancake/Baking Mix for the flour.

*being able to eat BBQ in KC that is gluten free. Thank you Jack Stacks!

Two Poots Thanksgiving Weekend

This long weekend was amazing! We got to spend time with friends and family and accomplished so much! Take a look for yourself:

*Had a blast playing Cranium! We have had this game for almost a year and never played it! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!*


*Picked up a new FREE stove! We have been needing one for awhile and thanks to some burnt cookies I took to work we now have a new stove! My sweet co-worker Kims mom gave it to us! I love it!!!!*


*Scott performed in a reading of The Christmas Carol. He is a great Scrooge!!*



*Tonight we drove around Kansas City looking at all the lights. I love this time of year in the city!*

A Sunday Slump...

Ugh.... I am in a funk! I can't seem to get out of it. I got up late and mangaged to make myself some coffee and cinnamon toast. Then I thought I would browse all my favorite blogs! I really thought that would get me motivated. I have a list of things to do and create a mile long. I need to get going....but I can't! Maybe it is because the weekend is coming to an end? Maybe it is because I am in a food coma still?

I promise I will be back tonight with some photos of our Thanksgiving weekend. It was great! Tonight Scott and I are going to go eat some bbq and look at Christmas Lights. Maybe that will help get me out of this funk!!! If nothing else I will have to at least make myself presentable!

Wednesday Randomness...

I have today off and plan on decorating Poot Manor for Christmas. Then Two Poots are off to our hometown to spend a couple days with family! I can't wait!! My brain has been going in so many directions lately. I need to just buckle down and really work on my Christmas gifts but this morning I just can't seem to get off the computer!!

Here is what has been floating around my head this morning:

*I am still upset over the finale of Project Runway. I so wanted Carol Hannah to win. I loved everything she did this season!! These are some of my favorite designs of hers:




*Last night I went to see

It was so much better than the first movie! I thought they made Bella look much prettier and it wasn't so dark and drab. Plus that horrible music wasn't blaring through the entire movie. The music in this one was really good!

*I think that Sarah Jessica Parker is adorable and looks good in anything. She looks amazing in the latest issue of Elle Magazine.




*I want to make my bedroom magical like this:

Katie at skunkboy creatures just did this in her bedroom and I love it. She is so adorable and I would love to own one of her cute creatures someday!

*My parents go me a spot in Elsies Style School for Christmas! I am soooo excited!!

Thankful Monday!

I woke up this morning so confused that my alarm was going off on a Sunday! It took me several minutes to figure out that it was actually Monday! I felt so well rested once I finally came to. So that is the first thing I am thankful for today is a good nights sleep!

Today I am also thankful for:

I already have hung up my embroidery in our entryway! I love it! Thank you so much Carrie!!

*That these tasty treats are back in the grocery stores for the holiday season!!

My poot is such a good singer. He had been practicing a special song for me for awhile and he was able to sing it to me that night. I am one lucky lady!! The last picture is actually of our friend Keith. He was a hit with all the ladies!

The soundtrack is amazing!!

*That tomorrow is my Friday!! Only two days of work tomorrow! Yay!

I am so looking forward to spending some time with friends and family. I know lots of food will be consumed, a lot of movies will be watched, games will be played, and lots of relaxing.
