Seriously...the cutest family ever!!

Every Halloween Ruby at mycakies.blogspot.com has her family dress up but does a great story along with it. This year hands down is my favorite she has done!

I love all the little details! It made my day reading this post. So make sure to stop by her blog and read their little story. It is guaranteed to put a little smile on your face.

This week has been super busy at work and I am so run down. I am hoping to get in a little R & R tonight before the big shindig tomorrow evening. I have lots of cleaning and baking to do tomorrow. I am hoping to lay on the couch &:
*crochet
*finish my Mad Men DVD
*get packages ready to take to the post office tomorrow
*and finish Kerry's bday gift

Hope everyone's Friday is treating them well. Happy Halloweenie Eve!!

Get a jump start on your holiday shopping...

while helping this amazing gal!

I started reading Jamie's blog (www.inspiredmess.blogspot.com) a few months back and she is such a sweetie. She was recently diagnosised with MS and has hit some rough patches. This week she is doing a silent auction for the most amazing basket of goodies!

Go to her blog www.inspiredmess.blogspot.com to find out all the info.

You should also check out her etsy shop!! There is a link to it on her blog but here are some of my favorites. I have pledged to only give handmade items this holiday season so what a great shop to start my shopping! I have a hard time not buying anything for myself though!

She will be adding things to her shop all week. I think I am going to go buy that embroidery hoop right now! Scott and I love the office and will look so cute in our living room!

A spooktacular weekend & Winners!!

Highlights from our weekend:

Scott enjoying his favorite lemon ricotta cookies!

A tub of flavoral beers from our Chilli/Beer Fest!

We spotted a bald eagle and literally stopped our car on a country road to run into the field and take pictures! As soon as we got close it flew off.

Beautiful Trees throughout the countryside!

A picnic lunch at Le Bourgeois Winery! Such a great place to spend an afternoon on a hilltop overlooking the Missouri River.

Our spooky night in Arrowrock included pumpkin bonfires, cemetry tours, and encounters with large spiders. Eeek!

We ended our weekend with a scrumptious bowl of winter vegetable soup. I got the recipe out of the November issue of Marta Food.

And...now for the winners! Megan from the Nerds Nest is the winner of the headband! (It must be your lucky week! I saw that you won the FreckledNest giveaway too! Sweet)Email me your address and I will get your headband out to you!

Janel is the winner of the coffee coozie! Yay! I have your address so your coozie will be on your way this week! Congrats ladies!

Chilli, brownies, and beer...Oh my!!

We are heading out to a chilli/beer party with some of my co-workers and friends tonight. Everyone is to bring their favorite beer for people to sample. Since I can't have beer due to the gluten, I am bringing my favorite!

It should be a nice relaxing ending that will probably end with us all playing The Game of Things! One of our favorite games ever!!

I have been thinking alot about apples lately. My favorite,Honeycrisps, are in season and I seriously have one every day! Yum!! I am going to try and bake a few apple goodies this weekend. Here are some pictures I fell in love with today while browsing apples!!

**All images found on weheartit.com** This website is amazing!!

Tomorrow we are heading to the very old town of Arrowrock, MO! They are having a haunted evening that involves candlelight tours of the old homes, walks through the town, graveyard, and a haunted walk through the woods! It is going to be so spoooooooky!

What plans do you have for the weekend?
