Corners of our Home...

I decided to start taking pictures of small details around Two Poots Manor that I love. Each week I will try to showcase these here on my blog...

This little display is on the shelf in our entertainment cabinet. The bigger picture is from our wedding day and the smaller picture is one of the very first pictures of us taken as a couple! The floral arrangement was my wedding bouqet that Lisa and I made!!

This flower loop picture was purchased when I attended the World's Longest Yard Sale several years ago. I almost left it behind but decided for $8 you couldn't go wrong. I am so glad I didn't leave it in Kentucky. I am hoping to add a few smaller ones to my wall someday!

Some of my most recent crafting books that I have been browsing through. The little girl planter I turned into a book end. She was a great thrift store find!

Aggie Mae in her most recent thrifted clothes. I went through my old barbie clothes and actually found a few things that fit her. Oh...and she has a new hairdo!! Poot got her a wig for my birthday! I love it!

This squirrel plantar was found at a garage sale. It looks great with my latest Littlest Pet Shop squirrel!!

I am a sucker for deer figurines! So I had to buy this deer lamp base which finally found it's home on my bedroom vanity. The vintage clock was found at my favorite thrift store in KC.

Tonight after work I decided I needed to make a quick stop into the DAV thrift store. It been over a month since I had gone. I found a couple things for our kitchen:

The little Italian wine bottle in front is a salt shaker! And the glass cannister I believe my grandma had in her kitchen at one time.

So now it is your turn! What are some things that you love around your home? If you decide to join in and post pictures...please leave a link here in the comments. I would love to see!!

Game Night...

Saturday night we celebrated our friend Marks birthday by hosting game night. We made nachos, had bomb pops, and played yahtzee all evening!
Of course I had my peeps by myside and my favorite wine! Yum!!

We suprised Mark by all chipping in and getting his a blue ray! He was so shocked. It was cute!

Scott wrapped his gift up with some odds and ends so he wouldn't know what it was. That included a teddy bear, which made Mark think that he was getting a teddy bear and a bench for it to sit on. Ha!!

Kerry made Mark some funny magnets:

Kerry and I modeled our matching Flaming Lips tshirts and faux moles I got out of a candy machine!

Does anyone else love yahtzee like we do? I use to play it with my parents all the time! So fun!

Who knew that peeps where the secret key to getting a yahtzee!!

This is how I look before I devour a peep:

My faux mole and I scare it!!

Once the yahtzee champion was crowned we all had Superhero bomb pops. Poot "hulked" out when he tried his:

Game nights are some of Poot and I's favorite nights! We are so blessed to have the group of friends that we do. Are there any games that you love to play?? I would love to hear!

Last night I was able to capture some of the deer that are alwasy lingering in our backyard. This time it was a family of about 5!

And I finally got my craft swap goodies made and mailed out. I am going to use mine to hold my sunglasses!

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!! I am off to work on some small projects for Two Poot Manor! I am really excited to finally have some time to work on them, now that my swaps are done!

A Flaming Lips Miracle!!

The weather forcast all week was calling for a very wet day/night on Friday, which of course was the day of The Flaming Lips show. Did I mention that the show was outside?? I went out and bought some rainboots and some heavy duty ponchos!! It was storming all morning! By the time we pulled into the parking lot to do a little tailgating (do you call it that when you are going to a concert?)and the clouds disappeared!!

The show was amazing! So colorful and entertaining!

When the show ended and we made it back safely to our car...the rain started. So thank you everyone for your non rain dances!! I believe they worked!

P.S. Does anyone know why my words are wrapping themselves around my pictures in my posts? I can't figure it out and I have not changed a thing about my format. It is driving me crazy!!

Happy Birthday Bubba!

I hope you have as much fun as you did this Christmas:

And that you get to relax a little under the sun in Greece like a Ninja Turtle on Halloween:

*watching Goonies with me over and over.
*never really caring what me and my girlfriends were up to when I had slumber parties
*introducing me to some amazing music
*traveling the world so that I can have awesome souveniors! He he!
