Our Neck of the Woods

We have been busy busy Poots around here trying to get ready for Christmas! I can't believe it is only 5 days away!!! It always goes so fast. Every year I vow that I will start my gift making early, and then it just seems to creep up on me. Well, I am making a plan for next year and going to stick with it. I want to be able to relax and enjoy my time away from work! With that being said, the past few weeks we have been:

*Driving around and looking at all the pretty lights around Kansas City




*Crafting...




*Baking...




*Reading of A Christmas Carol...


*Watching Christmas Movies...


*Consuming massive amounts of caffeine...


Tomorrow is my last day of work until next Tuesday!! I can NOT wait! Are you ready for Christmas??

Oh my goodness! I have never read anything so good! If I am not reading it I am thinking about it! ahhh... Crocheting? What is that? Showering?? Overrated? Dinner? I think we have leftovers! Yep! I am totally consumed!

What are you reading these days? I think I will have this trilogy done pretty quickly and can get back to my Sookie books. I set a goal to read 24 books this year and I am so close. I will do a recap of what I have read at the end of the year.

Well, better get back to reading...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Poot and I have a little pact with our Christmas Trees. We alternate each year between a real one and a fake one. This year is the year for my girly white tree! I love putting up all the old ornaments. I don't think you can ever have too many vintage ornaments. Here is a peek into Poot Manor...




You will pretty much find Boomer under our tree until January. He is so cute! He will just lay under there and look up at the lights!






Now I just need to get to wrapping and finishing all my handmade gifts. This year is definitely going to be a handmade Christmas!
