Last night was a very productive evening for my mom, my aunt, and I!! I figured out the crocheted earrings I wanted to do with the help of my aunt. I learned last night that some of these patterns are just written to make you feel dumb. The first step to the earring pattern last night was named something fancy like "magic ring loop" and the instructions were a mile long. It ended up being the normal loop I always make to just start a chain. Talk about trying to discourage you from the beginning!! In the end I think they turned out pretty good. I think the more I do them the better they will look. I just need to starch them to make them a little stiff! (I need to put the hoops on them too)
My mom recently remodeled her kitchen and decided to work on a checkerboard potholder! You actually crochet with three different colors at once. It was really cool!
I love the chalkboard paint on the inside panel of a door in her kitchen. The new saying she wrote made me laugh!
I also started my very first potholder too! These things are fun and addictive!
My aunt is working on finishig an afghan my grandma Ruby was working on before she passed away. I absolutely love the colors and want to use them in my next afghan. This afghan has such a special place in her heart!
I am so loving these nights of crocheting! I never want to leave. I actually came home and crocheted way past midnight last night!
Today I came home to happy mail from the lovely
Diana
I hit the jackpot! I received so many goodies: three magnets, super cute pencils, blueberry tea that smells amazing(I could smell it before I even opened the box),Our City Lights notecards, NKOTB book (wow...this made me squeel!), a red bow,and three vintage bowls. Seriously Diana thank you so much. It definitely made my day!
Well... I am hooked! I am off to do some more crocheting!! I can't wait to wear my earrings!! Tomorrow is Friday!! I am taking Monday and Tuesday off next week for my birthday so I get a long weekend. So looking forward to it! Poot is suprising me this weekend for my birthday! Yay!
XOXO
