Favortie Love Story

So now that it is getting down to the wire (only a month and a half left til Christmas) and I am crafting every night, I have to keep myself entertained with movies. I have been watching Northern Exposure (as you know) and Dexter, but when I am waiting for my next Netflix Disc to arrive I pop in old movies.

Last night I decided to watch The Notebook. As soon as the music started playing I got tears in my eyes. Ha!! I am such a sucker for romance and this movie just breaks my heart everytime I watch it. It is hands down my favorite love story.

I don't think I will ever get tired of watching this movie. I not only love it for the story, but I love the fashion. Rachel McAdams looks so beautiful. I love how put together woman were back then with their gloves and jewelry. I would love to have that headband she is wearing with her swimsuit.

So...what is your favorite love story?? I would love some suggestions. I have several more presents to crochet, which means many more hours on the couch watching movies!!
XOXO

Oh, my God! This is my favorite movie! I cry EVERY TIME, like you. My second best is "P.S.I LOVE YOU". Heartbreaking but also so romantic and sweet. You are going to love it. Plus, it includes some really cute outfits, at least for me.

The Notebook is a sweet, sweet story and always makes me teary eyed.

Another one that makes me cry, every time is 'Fried Green Tomatoes' when Ruth dies, I've seen it a million times and it gets me every single time.

Big Poot recommends his Top Ten favorite romances of all time:
1. "When Harry Met Sally..." - classic Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan when she was still cute.
2. "Casablanca" - Bogart and Bergman at their finest. If you've never seen it you will be shocked by the number of quotes you will recognize from this movie.
3. "Four Weddings and a Funeral" - Hugh Grant's first great film. It is pitch perfect.
4. "Annie Hall" - Diane Keaton + Woody Allen = oddball awesomeness.
5. "It Happened One Night" - Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert are a fast-talking comedy dream team.
6. "Shakespeare in Love" - this movie is just brilliant, from beginning to end. I especially love Tom Wilkinson playing the apothecary in his blue hat.
7. "Marty" - Ernest Borgnine plays a tubby everyman who finds love in spite of his friends' and his Mother's harassment. This movie was an Oscar upset, winning Best Picture and Best Actor. Highly recommended.
8. "Roxanne" - perhaps my favorite of all time, Steve Martin's adaptation of Edmond Rostand's classic romance "Cyrano de Bergerac".
9. "Notting Hill" - for some reason it never gets old and I think it proves that Julia Roberts can, in fact, act.
10. "Harold and Maude" - a love story for the outcast in all of us. Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort are the perfect odd couple.
