Thrifting Fool...

I love a good thrifting find, and I have come across a lot recently! My dear friend Kerry and I have an exciting announcement that we hope to unveil in the next month or so!! All I can say is that it involves thrifting and is something that I have dreamed of doing for a long time! Eeeee!!!

Here is a little peek into some of my recent finds:

*Found some cute plates to add to our growing collection of mismatched cuteness!
*Elton John album (and it has been on heavy rotation)
*Bald Eagle decanter for Poot
*Two "P" shot glasses for Two Poots

*Scored the most adorable jar to hold my favorite snack!

*This was strictly bought for the silly cover. I was shocked to find out I actually knew a song on the album!

*More plates and bedsheets...two of my favorite things to find!

*I pretty much squeeled like a little girl when I found this!

*Lots of vintage postcards! I love reading what people wrote to loved ones and see the postmark dates!

*Dad coffee mug, salt shaker, and a racoon planter!

I am trying to come up with standard posts I will be doing here, and I think there will definitely be one to show my thrifting finds! What have you thrifted lately?? Or what are you currently hoping to find??

Thrifting Adventures

Last year one of my favorite antique malls closed down and I was heartbroken. Recently they reopened and Kerry and I spent the afternoon searching for treasures...and boy did we find some. I brought these home with me:





One of my favorite finds of the day was this Abe Lincoln book!



I also couldn't pass up this felt calendar from 1965. I fell in love with the color and font! And it found itself a home with my wreaths.

What do you love to look for while thrifting?? Lately I have been searching for Pyrex, mid century glasses, vintage kitchen towels, vintage childrens books, and of course afghans and quilts!

Overall it was one the best thrifting adventures I have been on! Kerry found some pretty amazing stuff too!!

Birthday Celebrations: Part 2

Poot organized a little get together at Poot Manor this past weekend. He made us three different soups to enjoy before we headed out to a roasting of the movie The Room. If you have not heard of this movie I highly suggest you look up some clips on youtube! It is so ridiculously bad it is funny!

**My friends Dawn and Patrick made me the most awesome gluten free Tommy Weiseau cake (He is the actor,director,writer, and producer of The Room .) We are serious about this! Lol!**

On my actual birthday, my poor Poot had to have a wisdom tooth removed so we had a dinner out at The Outback and browsed Barnes and Nobles before heading home to cuddle and catch up our dvr!
