Two Poots Thanksgiving Weekend

This long weekend was amazing! We got to spend time with friends and family and accomplished so much! Take a look for yourself:

*We spread a little Christmas Glee throughout Two Poot Manor*

*We spent the night before Thanksgiving helping my mom prepare the yummy food!*

*Had a blast playing Cranium! We have had this game for almost a year and never played it! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!*

*Picked up a new FREE stove! We have been needing one for awhile and thanks to some burnt cookies I took to work we now have a new stove! My sweet co-worker Kims mom gave it to us! I love it!!!!*

*Scott performed in a reading of The Christmas Carol. He is a great Scrooge!!*

*Tonight we drove around Kansas City looking at all the lights. I love this time of year in the city!*

I am sad to see it all come to an end! How was your weekend? What were you most thankful for?

XOXO
Amber

ohhh so cute! I love your little owl wreath!!!! Yay KC Plaza. I must say I will miss the lights. The boyfriend and I drove by it last night and I felt a little sad (the past 2 years we lived one block from the main strip of the plaza (by Z Gallerie). It was always so much fun at this time of year. :)

ADVENTURES WITH PUMPKIN ROLLS:
Mix 1 cup sugar + 3 eggs
Mix in 1 cup pumpkin
Combine 1 cup flour + 1 tsp baking powder + 2 tbsp cinnamon + 1 tbsp ginger + 1/2 tbsp nutmeg + 1 salt.
Mix the dry stuff with the wet stuff.
Pour it in a well-buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 15 minutes (or whenever your toothpick is clean)
MEANWHILE, IN ANOTHER CORNER OF THE KITCHEN:
Mix 8 oz. cream cheese + 1 cup powdered sugar + 1 tsp vanilla + 4 tbsp butter
BACK AT THE OVEN:
Let pumpkin bread cool on tea towel for 15 minutes.
Roll the bread in a spiral and leave it alone for 10 minutes.
Unroll and spread the delicious creamy cheesy goodness across the bread (Stop about an inch or so from one end because the cream will flow)
Roll it back up.
Wrap it and put it in the fridge for a couple hours.
Slice and watch people lose their ever-loving minds.
You will be praised for bringing the best-tasting dessert that ever was into their world.
Sit back and smile.
You've done well.

Happy Holidays,
Big Poot
