In search of a party dress

Every year we host a New Years Eve party at Poot Manor. We are dorks and look for any opprotunity to dress up so we have a theme every year. Last year was the 80's! This year is the 50's! I want to find the perfect dress, so I did a little search today to get some inspiration!!

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to find the perfect 50's dress in the KC area or maybe online?

So much for fun in the snow! Today it took me 3 hours and 15 minutes to get to work. It usually takes me 20 minutes. I think my car was in park more than I actually drove. I was able to update my facebook status, read some blogs, check my email, listen to the enitre morning radio program, listen to an entire cd, finish my coffee, and eat my breakfast on the way into work. I really thought I was going to pee my pants though about half way through the journey. I was sprinting to the bathroom by the time I finally reached work. It wasn't a pretty sight. Plus I got trapped in my car this morning when I went out to defrost it. My driver side door was frozen shut so I had to crawl through the passenger door. When I tried to get out it was stuck. I started to panic because I was only in my pjs, I didn't have my cell phone, and Scott wouldn't be up for another hour. I finally was able to pry one of the back doors open!

On another random note.... I have discovered that I LOVE parsnips. Seriously could eat them every day!! This poor lonely vegetable needs more love. I encourage you to try them if you have not. You won't regret it. I have some recipes if you would like. Just leave me a comment and I can email them to you!!

How is your Wednesday treating you?

XOXO
Amber

My Wednesday isn't too shabby but it's coollllddd and sooooo windy! Wish I was home, curled up in a blanket and making something pretty with a hot cup of tea beside me and the Christmas tree lit up! =)
