Our Weekend Flew By....

Friday night, KU hosted their annual Theatre Banquet. It was a great time. We got to dress up and I was finally able to meet some of Scott's coworkers/students. I was so proud of my man! He was awarded two scholarships, which are much needed since we are living on a very tight budget!
After the banquet, Scott showed me around the campus. I had to laugh when I went to the girls room and saw this on the door:

The students and faculty are doing a professional reading of the latest play Scott wrote. He is so talented and I can't wait to hear this read aloud! These flyers were all over campus. Yay Poot! I also got to see his little office:

Doesn't he make a handsome professor? I think so!! We went to a house party which reminded me of my age!! Yeah... standing in 4 inch heels for hours on end isn't fun!

Saturday we made lunch for my mom and family! It was such a nice relaxing afternoon. After stuffing ourselves, mom allowed us to take several starts from all her amazing flowers around the yard.

I had such a wonderful time soaking up the sun and all my moms gardening skills! I love you mom!!
That night we made a bonfire in the back yard! We spend a couple hours wrapped up in blankets, sipping wine, and laughing non stop. It was the perfect evening. I made sure to dress up for it:

Oh, you got to love my friend Keith! He is so silly.

We were out there until almost 3am. It is moments like these that I will cherish forever. Making up silly songs and doing stupid dances around the fire, those are good times!!

Sunday we took Scott's mom out to dinner. She is preparing her house for a garden tour this summer. So she took us on a tour of all the work she has been doing to her garden. Talk about a green thumb. She still has a plant that she bought when she was 15!! We were able to take a start from that too. I wish I knew what it was and I really hope I don't kill it!

If you are wondering...yes, Poot is wearing a Meatloaf tshirt. He has seen him several times in concert. One of the many reasons I love him so!!

How was your mothers day weekend? I hope you were able to celebrate and relax! This week I was hoping to get out and plant all my goodies I collected this weekend, but there is nothing but rain in the forecast! I have plenty of other things to keep me occupied though! I am sure it will be another week that will fly by!

XOXO
Amber

4 inch heels? You are crazy - I think I've given up on heels - seriously lol flats for me!
YOu and your mama look so precious in that photo!
I love all the gardening you do -I'm impressed by it and it makes me keep trying my hand at it. -We'll see, fingers crossed I don't kill anything else.
Aww and look there's Scott's mom! :)
I love Meatloaf - I knew every song growing up and would sing them very dramatically with Danny & Lauren.
We had all the moms over for Mother's Day and it was a pretty perfect day!

Thanks ladies! You all are too sweet!
Mom...you and I are standing just alike in that picture! You are not setting a very good example for good posture:) Love you!

Becky... I so need that LP!!! I love that it is blue too!!! Glad that I am inspiring you to grow a few things. We will see how it goes. It has been raining like crazy here. So everything I have planted is crying out for rain. Poor little things!
