A couple of weekends ago, we headed out to the country for some berry picking! This was something I have been wanting to do the past few summers, but never had the time! Since we had such a mild winter this past season, the blueberries were ready to be picked a month earlier than normal!
We got there 30 minutes before they were closing and we thought they weren't going to let us go out to the patches and pick! We promised that we would be back in 30 minutes and then raced to Patch 12! I kept joking that late people are banished to Patch 12, because there aren't any berries! BUT there were so many berries!!! I think I ate as many as I picked! And would you believe that we actually picked 5 lbs of blueberries in that short of time??
We found a winery on the way home and stopped off to enjoy a bottle of wine on the patio!
The next day I made gluten free blueberrry pancakes...my favorite!!
With 5 lbs of blueberries filling our freezer I have lots recipes to try out! What is your favorite blueberry recipe??

How many quarts did you get out of that? I miss picking berries!
