Liberty Memorial

On Memorial Day this year, we decided to celebrate those who have fought for our country by visiting the Liberty Memorial Museum. Liberty Memorial is the only national World War I museum! We couldn't believe it had taken us this long to visit, being that it is so close to home. I would have to say that it was one of the most interesting, interactive, and entertaining museums I have ever been in!

Poot was mesmorized with the grenades.

They had a huge bridge that overlooked a replica battlefield and an area to sit and watch a video about the war. It was one of my favorite exhibits.

The propaganda posters were fascinating and there was even an area where you could create your own, using original images from that era. Here is the one I made...

Admission to the museum also allows you to enjoy the view from the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower. It was such a breathtaking view of Kansas City.

If you are ever visiting Kansas City, or live in the area, we highly recommend spending a day at the Liberty Memorial Museum. Tickets are super cheap and you get a two day pass!!
XOXO
